Hi all,

The Bravo HGT I just bought needs a new rear silencer.

Problem is I'm struggling to find any suitable replacements.

Does the system off any other models fit or does it have to be a HGT one? I'd imagine they have a different bore?

Also, I've seen a Sportex system, can anybody recommend them?

155 Marea sounded good enough after the back box failed on the welding point for the connecting pipe. Got original part, but caked it on zinc and silver heat resistant paint.

The pipe between the boxes has been the failure point on all my B/B/M.
The stupid heatshield and shape seems to collect water.
On 1.6 Brava I just used two short 30 degree bent pieces with ready joints. One welded to the old middle box and the other welded to the back box. Total cost about 15€.
Some exhaust paste and a clamp and it is all good.

On mine the box has corroded around the tailpipe and the bracket has snapped off so there's a few cable ties hold it in place around the tailpipe!

I haven't looked how bad the rest of the exhaust is yet tbh but looks ok.

Cherry bomb? Is it 1987 again?
