Technical Exclamation light staying on

Since i've had my R reg 1.2 60s Punto the "!" icon always stays lit red on near the spedometer. Can't think what it is, no problems with the car or anything. Any ideas?

Im sure thats the handbrake warning light.....???? Anyone??

Yes my friend it sure is the handbrake light. No idea why it should be on (seeing as the handbrake is fully down)

My Mums MG handbrake light stays on sometimes, all she does is press down on the lever then it disappears.....

Might come on if the front brake pads are wearing down and need changing (seem to remember hearing that, but when mine wore down to the metal I got no warning lights ) Could be worth checking them!

check your brake fluid isnt low.
