Technical Evo - loose gearbox linkage bracket ?

Anyone know what this thick L shaped bracket is on the gear linkage? As it is loose and flapping around. Very weird.
ANyone know what it is and if its supposed to be loose.
Its the bottom bit in the picture and is loose in relation to the arm above it, but the nut that is visible is tight as far as I could check.

OR anyone have links to a gearchange linkage diagram that shows it.

Update - sorted now, managed to tighten the nut about a third of a turn.
I guess its some sort of counter weight.
