Ohh you want a list

That is the only issue i have had with mine so far replaced one a few months back now the other is on its way.......

bar squeaking brakes but i cured that...

oh and squeeking rear suspension (cured that myself too)

ah all minor things then.
Mine is on Finance got a great deal as it was ex-demo, so should get it sorted through warrenty.

Really impressed with the car so far tho. Very willing 1.4 8v :D

Latest issue... back bush has given up on the bottom arm... 7200miles on the clock.

If there I'd a fault with yours matey Fiat replace them under warrenty with no questions its another famous "common fault". Mines in tomorrow for replacements. Hope you sort yours let me know what you find :)

Ok been a couple of weeks of easy driving.. and now top mounts creaking agian.. and decided to dump its coolant whilst going down the motorway. It cracked the thermostat housing. Current mileage, 9752:mad:

Hi Andy, just seen on here you had squeaky suspension, I have an evo GP that has just started squeaking on n/s/r, was the problem the rubber mount on top of the rear Spring squeaking as I have tried shaking everything and can't find anything to make noise.
The other thing is when it rains and under car gets wet it stops which makes me think that rubber, saw you fixed yours yourself what did you do?
any pointers please....

Hi,
and welcome back:)

Andy..

you mean Andy Monty..??

this thread is years old..,
I suspect you have a different issue, as this thread is regarding FRONT suspension top mount bearings..,
and you are talking about the REAR nearside suspension,

after 5 posts you can easily post photo's,;)

remove abs cables at the support (no need to unplug one at each side)

remove both rear wheels...

(obviously axle stands chock wheels et all)

place jack under centre of axle to take its weight

undo the 2 lower shock bolts (one per side)

and remove

lower jack slowly till springs are released

clean up spring/ rubbers / body / axle contact points

smear liberally in silicone grease (rubbers where they touch the car body and axle and spring bits)

put springs back in

jack up rear beam slowly till shock bolts line up

replace bolts

refit road wheels

reclip abs cables

and fingers crossed
