Barring the codes the symptoms are slightly lumpy idle and a faint surge at part throttle but otherwise has all its torque and power. (History) owner had a new Ngk coil pack/plug leads around 1k ago and ive just recently fitted a new timing belt and performed a full service.

My question is ladies and gents is there any known places for the injector wiring to rub, melt or fray or is it the usual and just an injector ? An auto electrician who i know is bobbing out tomorrow to check voltage to the injectors but just thought if theres any known areas of wiring that are problematic ill give a look before he shows up. Cheers

I would strongly suspect the timing belt installation have it verified that it's absolutely correct before looking at other possibilities?
Thanks for your quick reply.

Why would you suggest the timing belt installation ? I recently fitted one using both the crank and cam locking tools and that all went back together absolutely fine.

What would injector 3 circuit open have to do with that even if the timing was wrong ?

I also did a phonic wheel and throttle position re'learn just to makes sure everything was as it should be.

Sounds like you did it all correctly in the past a belt change done incorrectly typically flags a misfire
Yeah ive read that that occurs when a belt has being changed. All codes keep coming back once cleared but the car is still very drivable. Thanks for your reply

Injector wiring checked with all connections coming back just below 10 volts so a new bosch injector is on route. I also did a compression test for piece of mind.

Main earth cables are prone to internal corrosion
Always Worth changing them for the small cost
Ahh i see. It had a new earth cable (gearbox to chassis) 11k ago when the clutch was changed.

There's the small earth cable that runs to the valve cover from the loom which looks fine.

Is there anymore to check ?

Many thanks
