Technical engine misfire

i have a 2 litre scudo jtd. year 2000.
i have just had a new clutch fitted. this may not be linked to the problem. It is difficult to start. after driving for about ten minutes the engine cuts out. i can eventually start it again. this is ofter repeated. has anybody experienced this ?my thoughts were fuel problems or blocked filters. Is there one on the fuel pump and how do you get to it.

could be your intank fuel pump on its way out try changing fuel filter

Yes I have had this problem and it was bad news. Mine was the high pressure pump. Worth trying a fuel filter change and living in hope.

Didn't do the job myself as I was busy with other things at the time. I seem to remember the guy that done it for me took about 3 hours and said it was not to bad to do. He was a diy man not qualified. After fitting he did not need to program anything, just clear the fault codes and turn the key. Hope this helps.
