Technical Engine Management Light !

mk2 1.2 ELX 16v

Was driving home last night (just a 2 mile journey) and the engine management light came on and stayed on. The car carried on driving fine, and i've driven to work this morning without any problems (only 3 miles, but the light is still on. I just had it serviced last week.

What's the most likely cause? Could it be anything to do with the service? I'm gonna drive it back to the guys who serviced it after work tonight and see what he thinks, but i've got a feeling its not gonna be good.

take your airbox off and have a look in the throttle body and check for carbon build up on the inside and the butterfly

Fault code time Defo
If its driving fine, it may be a sensor starting to break up, or something is out of range (ie out its not in the normal operating Zones)

No Smokey Bums?
No constant fans?

just the EML?
