I know that my 1.4 doesn't have one either. ;) I was gonna look for one once, but i had zero intention of ever showing anyone under the bonnet, so i didn't bother in the end.

Well there isn't one. And no matter what I say it won't make one exist.

Muppet!

yes there is one,it goes sort of at back of engine,u have to remove to gain access to spark plugs etc,i saw it in haynes manual and noticed mine does'nt have one,the hols are there in my car where it screws into, and in my mates 1.4 he has one,so they do exist, just thought id see how much they are

they do exist im looking for one too, again my mate has one but i dont

well gunna try and find part number and ask fiat how much they are

nayone with a 1.4 might be able to help us as part number may be on the plastic cover,so anyone with 1.4 have a look please

Re: Muppet

Animal or Gonzo :)

I've still never seen a 1.4 with one nut I suppose fitting one would give you 30 more BHP ;)

Re: Muppet

ha ha,id be happy if it gave my 1.4 1 extra bhp, reason im bothered is my car has been awful since winter, and that cover goes over spark plugs etc,i was wondering if maybe condensation was maybe dripping water near spark plugs/ht leads and causing it to sort of mis fire now and again, which it seems to do,once its warmed up its fine,i have new oil and plugs in,and been told ht leads are fine

Re: Muppet

'told' they are fine? Probably worth changing them :)

But didn't you say it runs ok on optimax?

Re: Muppet

yes seems to run perfect with optimax, thats why it seems really strange,it has improved alot since using engine/injector cleaner, maybe i need my injectors cleaning properly,my car only has 52000 on the clock though

Re: Muppet

may try that,u know what a cold valve is??someone once mentioned try changing cold valve, ive never heard of it??
