Technical Engine Anti Pollution Sytem Failure?????

Hi, i have a 2003 Eleganza 2.0l Petrol, i have just had a warning show up on my car for the Engine Anti Pollution Sytem Failure.
I have looked through the firums but can only find threads for deisel's.
Any Ideas what this is??? :bang: :worship:

Just had the same message on our 2004 petrol ulysse, have spoken to our local exhaust centre and they think the catalitic convertor has failed, when we drive we are getting a rotten egg smell from the car exhaust, they quoted £235.00 to £350.00 fitted for a new cat, managed to find one from these http://cats2u.co.uk for £140.00 plus postage.

Just an update to our problem with the anti pollution system failure, the light has now gone off, so maybe it was a bad batch of fuel, filled up at morrisions and light came on not straight away, have since filled up at bp and light has gone off, so heres hoping.

As it happens i filled up at morrisons recently..........hmmmmmmm
Although the car went in for a diagnostics this morning and i've been told the O2 sensor (lambada sensor) is the problem.
i had no warning lights on only an error message on radio display everytime i started the engine
