Hi, does anybody know the resister to remove on this elm 327 1.5 with the toggle switch? I want to use it for my 2012 Fiat 500 sport.

What R typical 120 Ohm for connecting to some CAN ecus?
Are you checked if it reads 120 Ohm between pin 6-14 on ELM? If so you need to follow CAN lines, your CAN chip is SIT1040 and CAN lines are 6-7 on chip, I attach picture, follow these and locate R 120 Ohm.

What would be next best to use with muliecuscam that is just plugs and play?

Best is yours, it has good chips and selector that you can mod for Fiat CAN lines.
Best cheaps are ELM327 1.5 (really 1.4) and 2.2+ with chip 25k80 + FTDI/CH340 (most need R delete work) or specific for Fiat/Alfa with R deleted.

I'm at a lost, I understand your picture but if I could have the resister circled to remove, I could do it. That is the only thing that is holding me up. I have the yellow adapter. Maybe someone has the same elm and will post picture of resister to remove. One other question, will kkl vagcom work, with or without yellow adapter for can access?

In picture I can't see the two blue pins tracks cleary because shadow, usually they go under chip or very near with little hole to the other side of board.
You can follow the pins 6-14 from OBD side to SIT1040 chip, seems it's some little black R without marks.
You can check all litle black R too and if you find only one 120 Ohm and it goes to OBD-SIT1040 then bingo!
KKL or ELM is not the thing, it's 120 Ohm mod and CAN switch, if your car needs yellow adapter for some ecus then with KKL or ELM you need switch or adapter. Check MES web to see what cable and adapter need.

Vlinker series are very good and "cheap", competitor of famous OBDLink, different chips, advanced functions like CAN switch etc but at the end it does the same for your Fiat as your cable.

It does not need a resister removed though right? Does it do the body.can, with or without yellow adapter?

Vlinker FS has not issues with R, but it needs adapters like yellow for body (it has auto-switch CAN but for Ford).

So besides multiecuscans expensive one, would you recommend vlinker or ?. I really do appreciate the help you been giving me. Thank you

For your car I won't buy other, yours work perfect with R mod. If impossible for you fix it, I'll buy the same ready for Multiecuscan (10-15$) with 25k80 + CH340/FTDI.
