Hi folks

I've just completed an engine change on a cinq, connected it all up and turned the key.....to get nothing, not even the curtusy light works! Anyone know whats going on??

Is there a master fuse??

My keys dont look like coded ones, very similar to a panda I had years ago.... are all cinq's coded??

Any other suggestions??

I am sick of the thing at the moment so any help is welcome!!!

Under the battery there's 2 red wires going into a connector, check it hasn't come loose - this exact thing happened to me a little while ago.
Failing that, there is a master fuse on top of the battery in a C shaped plastic cover.

If you haven't got red / blue keys, I'd say you've got a N reg or older pre - immobiliser cinq?

Thanks guys,

I have checked and re-checked every last connection, I had a look at the big connector before posting, it is a strange one to find in a harness but seems to be connected (now cleaned)
The battery charger said the battery was low (drawing 3.5A) but that means the poles are ok at least!
It is a 1995 car on an M so I am glad to hear I have no immobiliser to confuse me further!!

Now this master fuse..........there is nothing on top of the battery so I will chase wires until I find it, this sounds like the most likely problem now............ everyone agree??

MORE IDEAS WELCOME!!

THANKS AGAIN FOLKS!!!!
