Ekotek is great. Just tanked up will give total mileage when empty. It pulls through the gears better it performs more smoothly but I totaly recomend buying the silencer as well! Only tricky part was getting the severed ends to slip over the ekotek's in/out pipes. You need to open out the ends with someting like the grips of a pair of pliers or heat it up with boiling water. Dont be sceptical, it does what it says on the can!

I am just worried about fitting on the unit....what tools do I need exactly and can a muppet like me do it?

where is my servo pipe?

The tools needed are: junior hacksaw
something to open out the cut ends of the servo pipe
Beer

Location of servo pipe (1.2 16v): Thin plastic pipe running from brake servo to underside of inlet manifold. Found at the rear top of the engine bay. In the middle of the pipe is a funny looking cylindrical shaped bit. Cut to the right of this. If in doubt take it to your nearest fiat garage or take a look at the ekotek website and see your nearest specialist.

Oh yes, it does. The car pulls stronger and the fuel consumption is up, 160 miles on the first line on the fuel gauge! I totally recomend fitting one, ignore the sceptics for I have bought one and fitted it. Straight from the horses mouth...

noise?

But does it make the car louder? I like the idea of getting better fuel consumption, but not the idea of chaging the noise of the engine.
