I have my stilo abarth lowered by 35mm on a set of Eibach pro springs and I was wondering if i could lower it anymore with the springs i already have.
I was looking at the Eibach pro-damper kit on some site.
Would a set of these allow me to adjust the height so that its lower at the back than it is now to allow the wheel to fit the arch better ?
I would prefer to be able to keep my springs that i have now so i just need some way of being able to adjust it so it will drop the back end by another 20mm and maybe another 5-10mm on the front..
Thanks for your time,

Mark.

Hmm, having a look on Eibach website!

Found the pro-dampers, but I can't see how this will reduce the ride height - unfortunately, they don't do coilovers for the Stilo range :(, otherwise I would have got those instead.

The only way to adjust ride height without changing the springs (assuming you wouldn't be daft enough to chop/compress them), is to have adjustable shocks (coilovers), as Stu says, I did think they were available for the Stilo though

Just load the boot up with bricks :D

Just wonderin', if you lower the Stilo do you have to remove that little black platic lip that's under the front bumper??? Mine already touches all over the place and my Stilo hasn't been lowered at all!!
Now that we're on the subject, what the hell is it for anyway??

yep tried there, thanx anyway stu.

I think i will go and speak to my local tuning shop tomorrow, its all a bit confusing to me.
from what has been said i think i need to have it in laymans terms.. lol.

Here's what i can gather then... The coilover kit would mean i keep my eibach springs or would they cause a problem and i i would need to revert back to my originals ?

And as long as its adjustable i can lower it with those ?
OMG...

Coilovers will be a whole new kit - searching now, and that will give you all the answers.....

Eibach DON'T do coilovers for our car, lol - if only.

I was just looking at those FK ones Stu, they look like they might be worth investigating.. 20-80mm drop ;) hight and ride adjustable.. nice find. (y)

Guys...............................

why would you want to go any lower than the 35mm standard Eibach drop?

You'd have to go slowly over speed bumbs, watch kerbs when parking or opening doors, oooh, sends shivers down my spine just thinking about it!

it would be adjustable TC so personally would only drop it 50mm at the back and 40mm front to even it out a bit.

My mate...........................

dropped his car using the Eibach Pro Kit, 50/55mm drop, one word, NIGHTMARE!

His car is now a two seater, can't carry passengers, can't negotiate speed bumps, total crap, don't do it, more hassle than it's worth!

The Eibach pro kit is the 35mm drop in the springs, its the sportline springs that have the larger drop.
But if the car is adjustable then what harm can it do.
I have also heard that the ride quality is far superior when you replace the lot..
I have two choices really, I spend £600 on a set of these coilovers which will fill my rear arches far better, or i spend £1100 on a new set of wheels and tyres which completely wastes the ones i have got and at the same time they wont fill the arches anymore because i will be restricted by the tyre size anyway.
I just can't find a wheel that will suite the car better than the ones i already have.

Even though they maybe full adjustable, you still need to get the car on the ramps every time you wish to change the hight. Its not a matter of just pressing a button and up or down she goes!! If you want that you are after a full hydrolics (sp) kit!! (y)

Its really weired this, I was out looking at the car today and when you see it in person it looks so much lower than it does in photos. Maybe i just need to quit takin pictures of it, then i wouldn't see things i don't like.
They said that after a while the car would start to sit lower as my springs compress more, problem is i only have kids in the back. So i need a couple of really fat blokes that i could borrow for a week ;)
