Anyone know what i need to be doing to run the EGR replacement diagnostics.. tells me to read notes, but doesnt say where they are.

What vehicle is this Phil? All the operations I have done on MES have been well described in the programme. There is also a MES Forum thats really helpful. Someone will have probably answered this on there.
its a 1.6 16v Multijet D... when i try to reset the EGR , which it tells me i have to do , the MES tells me to read notes, but there are none to be found, its useless when it says ' read notes' and nowhere on the planet can tell me what they are.

In that case contact Gendan. They are very helpful.. Does it have re learn function. I never sawcanything about any resetting for egr. I will have another look in mes.
I can still see nothing re replacement of the EGR the only notes I can see refers to DPF replacement.

When you try and activate the EGR replacement adjustment it does say read notes, there are none so I think there are none and the read notes is a generic thing that appears on the execute button. I would just do it. Anyone think different??

If thats the case, what is the point of the software , changing the unit is not hard, the only thing i got the software for is to reset it. But when you do it , it says ' Not in correct state'. But it doesnt tell you what the correct state is , hot, cold, running , not running, etc. I cleared everything , no faults , but it still wont let me do anything.

Car runs perfectly with EGR unplugged, whether its the new or old unit , its a pain in the arse that the whole planet has no clue what the process is. And im £300 out of pocket, with the kit and the EManuals that also dont tell you .

Today. Cold start, engine off, run the calibration of egr valve. Fiat bravo mjet, 1.6 120 hp, from 2009. The original valve of the car. Cleaned a few months ago. After calibration run the engine for 2 minutes. Ecu=16C39. There was always that difference between the desired and actual valve position. As long as the valve is closed, when the engine is off, everything is ok.
