I have a 59 plate 500 1.3 diesel. I am a pretty good home mechanic and reasonably intelligent (trying to be modest :() but I can't get my head around what hardware and software I need to purchase to be able to reset the 'oil change' light and 'oil change' message. I have read the various threads on this subject (honest) and followed the various links, but I'm still not clear.

Obviously I don't want to waste hard-earned cash on the wrong thing, so I would be extremely grateful if someone could spell out for me in 2 or 3 bullet points exactly what I need to purchase, and I would be even more grateful if someone could post links to these items so I don't get it wrong :)

I've bought 2 of the 3 items suggested above and tested it on my Stilo. After a bit of fiddling around with the config I managed to reset my service light. I now need to do the same on the 500 which I will probably do this weekend.

In case anyone is waiting for a reply to my last query then you just need to buy one of these - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251243699783?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

and download the software and pay for a licence here - http://www.multiecuscan.net/
