I've had such fun with my engine management lights recently, since my previous posts in the technical section I've had the management light up twice

I won't bore you with my engine management fun since my last post as we all know how our dashboards enjoy flashing, but apparently the light I went in for yesterday was due to an ECU update. I did not ask for too much of an explaination, especially as the good chap did not charge me, but maybe something to think about.

Interesting :chin:

I was always under the impression that if you took your car to the dealership for servicing, any update like this was done as a matter of course, via Examiner.

So what happens at an independent, or if you self-service?

In the case off an independent you would probably not get the update as happened in my case although mine went in for engine management light problems and luckily he solved the problem :) touch wood :)
