from what i remembered from school (9 years ago) earthquakes happen on or near where the tectonic plates meet. and as they dont meet on or around the uk??? so i now know they can happen anywhere.

Felt it bad here too. Fire engines were out on the front as people reported slates coming loose from rooftops.
I was in bed. Thought my bad leg was having a spasam.

Got out of bed to look out of window at the commotion and promptly fell over nearly breaking leg due to the shakes!
my mum just said when she woke up to the house shaking, she instantly presumed it was my fault - summat i'd done

H came to bed just before 1am and the bed shook
We heard a noise and H checked the house as we didnt know what it was. I felt and heard vibrations. I didnt think much of it and went to sleep.
