My Punto engine is dying.
I lost power (not running on all 4) about a mile from work and there is a knocking/clattering (metal on metal) noise especially at higher revs and under load (ie up bank). I did manage to crawl it the final mile into work...luckily mainly downbank.
I started to notice this knockin noise a couple of days ago.
Managed to crawl it up to a garage about a mile away from work as there was no way i was gonna drive it the 5 miles home and I aint in the AA or anything.
The guy at the garage thought it might be a broken rocker...not gonna know until its opened up over the weekend.
97 P 60S about 75k miles fully serviced.
Think it might be time to get rid
