DVD screen instalation

Hi Ive just purchased a roofmount dvd screen, however I need to find somewere who will fit it proffessionally. Do you guys no anywere that does this sort of work. It will need the DVD player hooking up to.

Belive me, you can fit it yourself!!

I fitted mine!

Its loads easiler then you think! a roof mounted one would be just the same to fit, just with added brackets to the roof liner!

Do you have a sunroof? if so you may have trouble fitting it! what car is it going into? bravo/brava/marea?

unless its a gps nav system its actually illegal to run a screen in the drivers view whilst moving.
as long as its pointing away from the driver you are ok tho

It depends on what journey i am doing! if i am in very heavy traffic then yes, as the wheels are stationary most the time anyway! or when i am in very light traffic on a motorway, as there isnt much to hit! because of where its placed, you can make glances at it without taking your eyes of the road! its more dangerous looking in your rear veiw mirror!!!

But in general driving i dont have it on! unless someone is playing Xbox or something, in which case it doesnt concern me and i just continue to drive!

Does it count if it points down the middle of the car, its like that so everyone can see it, even if you sit in the back!!!! its great!

I want GPS, but it soo expensive, apparently its possible to run it on my Xbox? that might be a cheap option!

I enquired about this, just out of curiosity..(I've got about £2,000 to spend before i get as far as in-car dvd). I was told that the one i was looking at was linked to the handbrake, so that the screen blinked off if i took the handbrake off..... I thought that ws a good idea, and would mean it was legal...

Like what they have in BMWs... my screen has this to! but i grounded that wire so it works when ever! That is true though, it would make it legal!

I dont understand why looking at a screen with directions on is any safer then one with images on! or why people can read maps while driving, or drink while driving...but i dont make the rules, i just break them!

mine is just put to a ground poitn too so it works when your driving, even if it was on the handbrake switch you could just pull it up so the ligth was on but not so it was actuyally doing anything!

I'm actually looking to unpgrade my old 1.6 to a newer 1.8 or maybe HGT about end of october/november time so if you're thinking about selling then......

Well i am definatly considering it as uni, is going to be very expensive! and any kind of money would be good! but i think it would be hard to let go of the keys! but who knows, the fact that you are on here means that you like bravos so i would find it easier selling to someone who will continue to look after her after she is sold!

I think the old screen thing is a load of bull.

Ive got a computer in my car, touchscreen upfront (visible from outside like Paul Rs) been past a few coppers - nothing.

Beauty is that I can add GPS for a around £50.

How have you mounted the touchscreen John?

I recently got satnav on the laptop (InfoMap software) and it's cool with voice commands, but a proper screen would be good so I use it proper for other things too (MP3s, DivX movies etc.)

And for anyone wanting a camera...this is what i have...(not installed yet)

It has infrared LEDs so it works in the dark, green/black & white. During the day it's colour.

Bargain in my opinion for £50...
