I seem to be having no luck searching for answers with regards to some issues with my 02 jtd doblo van which i think is great, can any one answer them bearing in mind im useless when it comes to computers only started using one just over a year ago (old school lol)

are any of these issues common and are they easy to rectify:bang:

1,full beams not working dips go out when pulling back on the stalk
2,button on the end of other stalk for computer not working
3,central locking not working
4,glow plug light always flashes on start up for few seconds then goes out
i have had a look at the fuse box under dash but couldnt see any blown ones:bang:
any help or links would be greatly recieved thanks bazza(y)

Flasher stalk is a common problem, solved with a squirt of silicon spray behind the rubber bit at the base of the stalk. (read the yellow marked thread at the top of the Doblo section marked known issues, same as wiper issue listed there.) The glow plug light flashing indicates a dead glow plug, not major but might be an issue in the cold weather.

The other two issues are not as easy. I suspect a new stalk may solve the broken button. As for the central locking, do you have any more info? Does it make any noise like it's trying to work?

The search function should reveal some more detailed answers, select advanced search and select the Doblo section in the right hand list when you search, then you only get Doblo results.

Not silicone spray! Use Contact cleaner.

Yep, I agree. Deffo contact cleaner - NOT WD40 or similar as this stuff is designed to leave a film behind as a protection. I'm guessing CC is designed to strip away any carbon deposited by the flashing as contacts open/close then evaporate leaving nothing behind?

I did mine a few years ago & been fine ever since. Guessing it's something that crops up every few years (depending on how often you use the beams?)

Yeah CC, its difficult to get in there, but seems to do the job eventually.
Pull out protective rubber flap at base of stalk, spray cc liberally in all the joints at the bottom of the stalk while waggling the stalk, flashing it a lot (with the ignition off), helps if you have one of those straw attachments.

For the reply for the central locking it has no sliding doors in the back, just the 2 back doors at the rear?

my bad for not reading vehicle description

ok, does it have central locking? (don't know how long you have owned vehicle) and if so have you checked fuses, if you don't know which fuse let me know and I can look it up.
