My 2004 2.3JTD Ducato shudders horribly when I reverse with hard lock. The problem does not exist when reversing straight back or going forwards. I took the (camper)van to a local dealer who told me that it is a common problem with the 2.3 Ducato that Fiat have not been able to resolve. He says that it is the power steering lines that cause the problem, but that changing the power steering lines has not solved the problem for other Ducato drivers. Can anyone offer any ideas? The vehicle has only done 12000 miles and I have only owned it for 6 months. The shudder has only developed in the last 2000 miles.
