Hi All

I hope someone here can help me,

On the air filter box in the outlet side ther is a small pie connected to the box, you have to turn it 180 degrees to remove it and a sort of diaphragm it attached to it, can anyone tell me what this is, as the connector has snapped and I do not know what to ask for, also the diaphragm thingy as I may as well replace the whole unit while I am at it,

thanks

Hi,

I do not know the exact form of words, but it is a non return valve elbow for the crankcase breather or vapour recirculation system. It is attached to pipe (4) in the attached pdf of an eLearn diagram.

The following is worth noting. If you trace the pipe back towards the vapour separator you will find an electrical connector teed into the pipe. This connection is the supply to the oil vapour heater. The oil vapour heater can go short circuit and blow fuse F11, secondary injection services. This fuse feeds several items, including part of the instrument panel. Some head scratching if it blows. Fix is to disconnect the heater.
