Hi
I have a 1991 ducato 2.5d non turbo 75hp lhd
I bought a supposedly power steering rack pipes and tank but no pump
I was told the pump runs off the vacuum pump and a plate needs to be removed? I can see a three bolt plate at the rear of vacuum pump is this where it bolts to? Also any pump I see for sale are all 2 bolt
It anyone had a picture of their original setup that would be great

Advise given not 100% accurate , power steering pump is driven from the opposite end of that unit, here is a photo of one on a 2.8 which is basically the same on an Iveco Daily to give you an idea. It is positioned between the fan blades and the turbo hose, it probably was on two bolts, but as the last one I did was several years ago, when I took one off to use the dog drive to power a Jabsco water pump for a Marine conversion I was doing I then threw the power steering pump away, sorry. However you should be able to get one from many of those Sofim engines as usedin 2.8 was well as your 2.5 on Fiat/Iveco/Citroen?Renault etc.
If you lay the metal pipes you have in the same position as bottom of photo , you should be able to see where pump should be.
I had several Iveco Daily's, the first was a 2.5 manual steering and there was just the blank plate on front of that assembly, all the rest 2.5-2.8 etc. had the pump fitted and also the 1998 2.8 iDT Fiat Ducato I took the engine from for Marinising.
The second photo side on shows where the vacuum pump is at the rear and also the power steering pump on the same engine but at the front.:)

Sorry don't know.
Just to be clear , are you trying to fit power steering to a non power steering Ducato.
What I was working on in the past although with Sofim 2.5 and 2.8 engines was Iveco Daily's that were a lot more generous with regards to accessibility .;)

So you are trying to make your LHD 1991 Ducato power steering or RHD as well?
I am guessing finding a LHD power steering rack in UK for a 1991 Ducato pretty rare these days.
You may find looking on Wikipedia re Fiat Ducato, that it will say about badge engineered Renault/Peugeot/Citroens of same era which may widen your chances slightly.
