General Drivers seat moves!

I have a 3dr Punto mk2. The drivers seat has always had a little movement. However, I pulled away from a junction yesterday and the car moved but i stayed in the same place. The seat flew back! Now it is pretty easy to push it back, it makes like a ratchet sound. How easy is it to fix, or how much would it cost me? would it be covered by my 12 month warranty?

If you've got a warranty, then that would be my first port of call.

Well i took the seat out yesterday. the problem is that the bar is not returning properly when i move the seat. All I have to do is push it down and it goes into place. Ive wd40'd it and greased it, but it hasnt helped. its ok for now though

Glad it's patched for the minute.

If you keep an eye on ebay or the scrappies you can pick up a new frame pretty cheap
