Hello all, can someone help with a problem I have regards downloading the Ducato eLearn manuals.

It downloads alright but when I try extracting it I get the message

"CFC Failed in 'X250.iso'. File is broken"

Is the file corrupt or am I doing it wrong?

Thanks

Are you sure it's "CFC..." and not "CRC...."? CRC stands for Cyclic Redundancy Check and is a way of testing the integrity of the file. If is is a CRC error then the file is indeed corrupted and you'll have to try another download.

CFC's are Chlorinated Fluoro Carbons - them wot destroy the ozone layer.

Normally the download would be checked repeatedly whilst in progress and any error bytes re-sent or the process reported as failed so it's unlikely the corruption has occurred there. It's possible the source file on the server might have become corrupted. I'm guessing the CRC isn't computed at source during the download - it will have been done once and appended to the file. If that's the case you'll have to hope the file gets refreshed on the server or try to find it at another site.

If there are manuals for several different models you could try downloading one of the others as a test.

ok go to the web page link below
right click on the blue box that says 'click here to start download from sendspace'
left click on the drop down menu that says 'save link as'
then click save
may take 20 minutes or so to download

web page link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/a74q6x

That will give you a 206MB ZIP File
Unzip the file to a new folder
Burn the CONTENTS of the new folder on to a CD
Take the CD out, re insert it, and the workshop manual should install
This is a full workshop manual for the X2/50 (Ducato 2006 on), engine out, stripdown etc.

Which download are you using.
I have just re checked the one I posted on another thread as above, still worked OK
