hi!

last night i noticed that i wasnt able to lock the drivers side door using the key. the key wouldnt turn in the lock. at first i thought it was just cold cos there was ice forming on the roof at the time, the problem is still happening today though. i can lock the door from the inside but not with the key. any ideas anyone.

thanks

perhaps the key's transmitter is shagged. Or is that only used to start the car? Have you tried to lock the passenger side door (it will pop back up)?

sounds like you just need to lube the lock.yuo can try spraying in WD40 to loosen it up and then something like coppaslip but i would recommend taking the lock out and giving it a proper clean and lube.you,ll be glad you did when you don,t have to replace the lock when it finally siezes.other option is that you have a problem with the connecting rods but you will see either way when you take the lock out;)

i have sprayed wd40 on it but it still doesnt work. the key turns a little bit, and quit easily so i dont think it has seized but it wont lock or unlock. the passenger side door works fine. how do you take the lock out?
