Pretty certain I won't be able to attend this now. Not very happy about it but if I haven't got the money there is nothing I can do about it :( so you guys at the next one

Sam

sorry to hear that Sam,:(

I'm not planning on spending much apart from fuel and a little food..,

no plans to go around the museum..,

Charlie

so gutted i can't come to this (99% not happening). Seems like it will be a good turnout - Someone best get lots of good pics of all attendees!!!

Sorry you can't make it.

Presumably you want pics of the cars rather than the people? Pics of cars is acceptably odd, the drivers (based on past meets) would be downright weird!! :yuck:

Thats a real shame Sam,was looking forward to catching up and having a laugh. I know what you mean about money though. After paying out for the car and then paying out again to sort the niggles out im skint. Aprils wage has already gone and I dont even get paid till the 7th. This will be my only meet in April but hopefully their will be another MI meet in May. If not I will hopefully see you at Stanford Hall.

I'm gonna try and make it buddy but not holding my breath. Depends on Friday when I get paid. Plus my wrist is sprained too so cleaning the car is pretty difficult haha.

Sam

No need to clean the car...

...we'd rather just have you there in one piece! :)

Hope it gets better soon; and that it isn't making driving too difficult....

I can drive fairly easily it's just a bit sore with gears and handbrake. If all goes well at work in my meeting on Wednesday I might have some extra cash so hopefully I'll make it but not saying yes yet as I don't want to jnyx it haha

Sam

No Fish, but cars covered in the dust / sand this morning.

From this news report, I'm surprised you didn't come out to find your car buried under a dune....

Just been out to clean Priscilla's windows... (she truly is 'Queen of the Desert', now...) -- this is just from one night....

I'm gonna put myself forward for a "maybe" as I think it may be going to silverstone that weekend

I know you're still a "maybe".., :(

but what's supposed to be on at silverstone?
,
as I may be better avoiding that road on the day..!!

looks like a nice/ direct route from M42 ( Tamworth) and up to Donnington..,

which way are you going ? homeward,

Charlie

Silverstone has a BRSCC race weekend - I know coz I was looking at their events last week! It's not a huge event like the GP or BTCC rounds, and I'd be surprised if it caused any issues on the main roads (or even the road from Dadford, though you won't be using that I guess). Having said that, if you get stuck in it, I didn't say anything!! ;)

There is sand & dust everywhere here, some from outer space and some from the idiots digging up all the roads to replace the gas main!!

Got a choice of M40/M42, or A46/M69/M1 (which is usually a little quieter, on a Sunday morning) -- and will probably do the latter. :chin:

without studying a map,
my obvious/ natural route is M40, A43 past Silverstone onto M1 and UP;)

yours is Warwick, Coventry and on the M1, correct ?

may join you in convoy..?? ;)
