Even better, because we're still in March, even though it doesn't start until 01/04 its still only £140 rather than the £145 it'd cost from 01/04> :D

You know I wasn't sure but I thought mine was the wrong price too - paid £225 and I thought it was meant to be £230! :woot:

That is wrong as a disc starting on the day the increase happens is at the new rate. The info on the website doesn't have updated prices yet either then - someone's slipped up - will they spot it and ask for £5 do you think?

In Japan if someone made a mistake like that they would be expected to fall on their sword - over here they will get promoted out of the way!!

Probably knowing them haha.

Well all sorted now :slayer:

Might take her for a quick might night spin first thing Tuesday morning - I've been having withdrawal symptoms :p

I've got a 127 & a Panda to tax at some point in April - I might give it a go tomorrow to see if there's still a blip & save myself £10!! Can't be bothered to find the V5's tonight (it's a pain you need that - why are they being so secure, it's not like anyone's going to randomly tax a car they don't own is it?). :)

It's funny you say this, I've had this exact same argument with the DVLA before, simple reason is that they want to be able to charge you £25 for a replacement when you can't find it.

For this reason I now hold an electronic copy of all of our V5C's, although my filing system is now a lot better for our V5's, should one go missing it'll only be an issue when it comes to sell the car (or I could be naughty and print it off, do you think they'll accept that  :p).

I do actually hope that somebody comes to this meet in a MK1 or 2 Panda. My first car was a Panda MK2 1000 Super,I loved that car. I havent seen one since Mitcar but didnt have a chance to have a look around. Spare wheel in the engine bay and a cardboard tube holding up a material dashboard thing. It always amazes me that people manage to keep those cars going. The rust was terminal on my first car so it was scrapped.

homeward they've just said we've got a load of sand from the Sahara dropping onto the cars & there are thunder storms coming in too! You've chosen a good week to start cleaning your car - reminds me of of Airplane where the bloke had chosen a bad week to give up smoking, drinking, etc! (y)

I know: I've just been outside, and the car is caked in dust; the windows are almost opaque with the stuff -- and I only cleaned them on Saturday morning. :bang:

I know im going to sound like a right duffus but is the sand thing true. My car was spotless but when I came out of work the car was caked in crap. Was not a happy camper as I wanted to take some photos of the wrapped bonnet.

TRUE..!!;)

just happens every now + then,
slightly more often than it "raining frogs", etc :yuck:

Yes it's sand blown across from the Sahara. It was on the BBC news earlier. - it happens every so often when the wind carries it across. (n)

I'm afraid so: I remember watching a documentary, a couple of years ago, explaining how sand can even cross the Atlantic, from South America; as well as get carried northwards from the Sahara, in some -- and this is an extremely technical, meteorological term: so you may need to look it up... -- 'high-up' winds in the atmosphere.... :(
