calm your PCness, there is no derogatory meaning in that word.

invalid - person weakened through illness or injury.

it is as politically correct as saying someone is disabled.

Really, i didn't know that, i thought it was the equivalent of saying retard or something.:rolleyes:

Not heard of the term "invalided out" of the army for example? It is perfectly fine to use, the French use "invalides" for example and Les Invalides in Paris started out as the hospital for invalids (hôpital des invalides). When you read it though, you have to say "in-ver-lids" rather than "in-valid" lol ;)

it used to be used a lot then got changed for disabled, in the US they still use invalid and find disabled offencive :spin:
