THIS GEEZER?

Shiv Tench
34 Chappel Street
Castle Northwich
Cheshire
CW81HD

He bloody bid on my wheels on Ebay but when I've sent him invoices and emails the are all returned via mailerdemon!

Another Ebay prick!

The address is a valid one looking at multimap, perhaps he's selling wheels too and wants yours off the listing as it's competition?

Shiv Tench - anyone hazard a guess at an anagram? Sounds a bit made up.

Re: Whoever..............................

TC you're so lame! You do all **** on ebay, you bid up your own items and make false descriptions just for example so don't moan when others do dishonest things either!!!

Re: False descriptions ???

Selling fake watches making out they were fake, remember? :D Also I do believe, on its own against ebay rules!

Selling fake watches......................

at Buy It Now prices of £125, yes.

But anyone with an ounce of intelligence knows that they fake Paul, you are doing people a service, they can't afford an original at £3000 can they, it's what they want, it makes them feel good, where's the crime in that?

Re: Selling fake watches......................

The crime in that is that it's illegal and against ebay rules. For it to be legal you have to make it clear it's a copy or replica, something I believe you didn't do in that case, hence why it's a crime.

Paul........................

I'll tell you what's criminal, that a company can charge £3000 for a watch that cost £200 to manufacture.

I also sell replica Adidas, Nike, etc, you know the kind of thing I mean, yet I'll sell you a pair of Adidas Predators for £40, the shops sell you them at £130, the little eight year old lad in Thailand or Vietnam who put them together gets paid 40p a week, who's the criminal?

Re: Paul........................

Still you, doesn't mean nobody else is, simply because you sell replica items. Don't think in anyway you're helping anybody other than the idiots at the top of the pile and yourself for a few quid.

Seriously, i don't get it, whether you sell it for 40 or JJB for 130, that kid is geting nothing else so you're just as bad again.

A company can charge what they want for an item, if they the item has enough added value then it will sell, if not, it won't. This is why they can sell it for £3000...

No, no ,no.................

let me explain Paul.

My mate goes to Thailand once a month, I'll give you this one example so you have a little understanding, he goes to the UMBRO factory where the England football shirts are made, he has an arrangement with some of the workers, they run off an extra 100 shirts and they find their way into his van and he pays them £3 a shirt. They then split this money between say six or eight of them, they now have in one hit, more than they earn in a month. He brings them over here, we knock them out for £13 each. JJB sell the exact same shirt from the exact same factory for £30, but they have come through the 'correct' channels and the workers have been paid 40p a day. I ask you again, who are the criminals?

Re: No, no ,no.................

Still you, trademark theft. I also bet your "mate" doesn't pay the £3 a shirt, he's ripping you off just like you'd rip him off!

Believe it or not Paul........................

I am very environmentally friendly, I also purchase as many fair trade products as I can when I shop. I'm teaching my kids the same principals as I believe in them. If you visit a Third World country and see these things first hand Paul, you would happily pay three pounds for a shirt, it's nothing to us, but everything to them, and I trust my contact, who I've known for years and shares the same principals.

It's only in developed industrialised countries where greed has no boundaries and only the fittest survive, it's dog eat dog!

PS: No showdown required, you win Paul, you are young and vibrant, I don't have the energy, passion or fire in my belly to contest with you, I am happy with who I am and where I am, and in ten years time, you will be too!

Re: Believe it or not Paul........................

I completely agree with the above and from what you know me, you will know I am in a similar position.

However, by selling all these fake items you're mainly helping yourself. £3 a shirt is lame for what you sell it for....

Exactly...............................

we live in a society, where only the fittest survive, you have to be shrewd, enterprising and ruthless to get on, otherwise everyone else goes to the top and you'll stand still, although I have my principals and I am aware of what goes on in the world and I do my bit, I know that here, I have a mortgage, lifestyle, family and children to maintain, so it's my duty, no matter what to make sure that all of that survives and progresses!

You say I'm mainly helping myself, you are correct, God gave me hands to help myself and that's what I'm doing, no one else is going to help me!

PS: I do love our conversations/debates!

Re: Exactly...............................

"no matter what....to progress" that's where you and I are different, that's why you have no ethical high ground over what others do on ebay!

There's other ways to be shrewd and enterprising which don't involve ripping off poor third world children or other ebayers. :)
