I bought a Seicento Sporting on Saturday which is lovely. I'm going to take it in for an MOT this week (it's doesn't run out until the end Nov, but it's to put my mind at rest)

My biggest concern is that there seems to be quite a lot of play with the clutch pedal - it wobbles more than I think it should from side to side. I can't see anything that needs tightening and am wondering whether this is a common thing, whether it's dangerous or not and how easy it is to resolve.

I've also noticed so far that the hand brake isn't great and needs adjusting and my indicators don't work for the first minute or so in the morning which is baffling me.

How tickled I am to suggest you check the clutch pedal bushes on the shaft. They might have slipped out or worn.

I have a Ford Escort clutch pedal in mine so I can't check how much movemnent there is.

Handbrake, do a search, you'll find one or two references to that, and your indicator problem, is it all the indicators, if so, check your hazard warning light switch is properly off.

Cheers

I'm a complete novice when it comes to cars (at the moment) so don't really know what to look for. I'll see what I can find searching the net but if they're easy to describe it would be much appreciated.

As far as the indicators go - none of them flash, nor does the light on the dash and the hazard switch doesn't get them on or resolve the issue either (I tried that this morning) Then after about a minute they sorts themselves out.

No need to search the web, search your signature.

It really sounds like your hazard switch is lazy.

I dont have the numerical list of parts, but the parts at the pedal are self explanitory.
