Technical Doblo Van

Hi

I a new to the site but have a question regarding my doblo van.

It has been taking its time to start for a while now but I found if I try to start it and the turn off ignition and try again it fires straight away second time. However if I do this now the clock resets.

If I let it start first try its fine its just if I turn off and try again

I would guess at either a glow plug problem or a battery problem.
Have you had the glow plugs tested?

I'm presuming it's a Diesel.

Mine was reluctant last winter, I put in a new battery - it's twice as meaty as the pathetic original (interestingly, the battery I had in a 1.9 diesel was also standard in a 1.3 petrol fiesta - yet they are poles apart in terms of power requirements!).
I went from that old trick of turning on & off a few times (to give the glowplugs longer to warm up) to turn & go.
