The rear wiper has never worked but I need to fix it for MOT. A new fused tried but that didn't work, I am aware it could either be a relay or the motor that has gone.

I've removed the plastic trim but I have no idea what I'm looking at / what are indicators of something needing replacement. If anyone knows please help! Also will replacement involve any rewiring and electrical tools? I have basic car tools and want to give it a crack to save some money.

Hi

Rear wipers dont see a lot of use ( removing the arm and blade could be enough for your MOT concern)

I have needed to strip out a few rear motors in my time..

I will link to a GUIDE :)
Thanks, a guide would be super useful, I have take the wider arm off and unbolted the motor, I'm just unsure how to detach the cables / electrical side of things. I have found another motor at a scrapyard so will try and replace.

The three cable runs into a circuit board, I was hoping I would be able to change the motor without having to solder in a new circuit, as I don't have any of those tools. Would that be the case though with this set up?

Hi,
on mine just the shaft rusted in the guide tube. the motor was still working. First time i managed to to get that lose but a year later it was stuck again so that i built in a second hand part off the scrapyard.

Good luck
