Hi, I'm new to the forum so hello everyone.
Anyway, I recently bought an 03 Doblo Cargo Van (non turbo) and within a few days although it started ok and ticked over fine it ran rough at all speeds with misfires accompanied with blueish smoke.
I blanked off the EGR valve as per forum advice and hey presto it was a different van with no missfires or smoke. However, after a few hundred miles the van is still running ok but a tad "lumpy" at low speeds (blanking gasket is still ok) and I'm wondering if the previously "softish" EGR crud has now baked onto the inlet valve gallery's or perhaps the combustion chambers and causing the low speed hesitation/lumpy problem. Any thoughts?
