This was my first ever car, which I owned. I bought it on 2013 July with damaged front.
Damaged was bonned, both side wings, front bumper and radiator. As price for MK2 and MK2b parts was almost same so I planned to make it MK2B.
So this is how it came to my hands (some parts removed)...

I planed to put sporting/hgt front bumper, but unfortunately were wasn't it in scrap yards in Lithuania.
I repaired my car as I can drive it. Fitted old radiator from punto mk1, used old bonnet and front bumper and buyed cheap side wings.

Few month later fitted punto wheel covers and HGT 15" alloys.

Yes the dashboard is from mk2b!

You have to replace almost all major electric components and some wiring from an mk2b for the dashboard to work. Body, ECU, Steering controller and motor. Also if you have stock radio, than you need to replace that too.

Very nice upgrade!!!

Its easy to change the clock from your mk2a to mk2b hgt? what things u need?? can you explain the process , please!!

kido resuri is right, I have replaced all major electric components and wiring looms from an mk2b. Body computer, ECU, keys,

he didnt put clock from mk2b, its from mk2 hgt or sporting

Car was mk2 sx, but now it's fully mk2b. Clock is from mk2b sporting/hgt.

Have seen few mk2 punto's for sale in autoscout with mk2b dashboard (but it had smaller LCD display) so maybe it's posible to change dashboards pin's as in autodata diagram.

It's possible to change the pinout, have done it myself, but the dash won't turn on with the mk2a body computer, it stays off when the can lines are connected. Not compatible by software....

Sorry to bring up an old thread,

I'm looking at doing some mods on a 8v, and putting in a HGT cluster unit.

It keeps coming back with error to do with air temperature sensor missing O/C

In this thread it said about linking a thermal resistor across pins 17 and 18. I looked today quickly and the wiring harness into the back of the cluster unit on pins 17 18 have wires going into it.

Does anyone know where these wires go to and are these definitely the wires needed for the outside temperature sensor? I have HGT mirrors with the sensor in so hopefully i can mod what i have for the cluster unit to see the sensor.

Cheers.
