Technical Dipstick 'Blowing' Out - Oil spray...

Hi Guys,

I've noticed my dipstick keeps blowing out slightly (top part just coming up) and spraying oil.

I dont think it is a piston ring as the car running as normal and no signs of any smoke at all.

I recently installed a GSR so thought it may be a blocked breather but they seem to be clear?

Someone suggested may be a pcv valve? Could someone on here direct me as to where this is on the 1.4 16v Sporting please?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, thank you.

She's not been over filled with oil?

Surely if piston was screwed, oil would be leaking both ways and cause smoke? Plus there would be serious drop in performance?

Just had a thought - I checked the pipes from the GSR but I didnt check the small oil breather pipe that comes out the top of the head. The one with the little 'flame guard' inside.

if nothing is blocked i would measure compression

Turns out the smaller looped pipe was 'crimped' where it was connected to the larger pipe on the GSR.

I cut a small piece of copper pipe and used it as an insert to keep the pipe open and reattached it all. Everything is fine now.
