is it not controled by the air at all? starving it of air will kill it.
on a diesel there isnt a butterfly so there's a constant amount of air flowing, when the air is compressed in the cylinder it turns white hot the combination of pressure and heat is enough to make the fuel ignite when its injected into either the pre-chamber or the cylinder
also the 1.3M-Jet has 12 injectors which change on and off when different power is needed under different loads, so say you boot it up to 4,000RPM from a standstill you will bound to have a cloud of black smoke from all the un-burnt fuel as all 3 injectors (per cylinder) are giving it a load
oh and i check over the car with a small magnet, exhaust and sump magnetic the block and head arnt along with the gearbox
