Working on my car at the weekend and managed to take out the dial surround with a view to replacing the bulbs. While i was doing this thought i'd have a look at taking off the dials to see how easy it would be to take of the green film and replace with blue film, for a blue display. I undid the 2 screws on the fuel dial but i could not see a way of taking it out without removing the needle! is there a way to do this or do the needles have to come off???

Give me an hour or two Trev and you'll have all your answers! ;)

Cheers, i'm bored at work so i'll look forward to reading your reply.

I took mine appart yesterday, the needles just pull off (though the speedo one needed levering off with a couple of screwdrivers, which was scarey, thought I was gonna break it!)
The others just came off with a reasonable pull.
Make sure ou make a note of the exact resting positions of all the needles before you take them off, so you can put them back in the right places.

Yes, its the putting them back on thats a bit scarey!!! Did i put them in the right place so they will not give a false reading etc!!!
Do the dials just pull off aswell, once the 2 screws are removed.

yeah, with the screws out and the needles off, the dials are free
