Hi All

I know the title may be gloomy and sound terrible, but just wondering what depressing realisations you have come to recently.

I've just realised that I'm poor. Apparently not everybody sits in their one bed apartment wearing a wolly hat because you can't afford to turn on the heater. Who knew?

Also just realised the spare wheel in my Punto is one of those stupid farty skinny 20mph ones!!!

i sit with millions of layers on and no heating as i cant afford to waste cash on such things.

edit to add: my DHR is how much my job sucks and how much i hate it.

I cant even afford a flat let alone heating lol. God know how people do it i dont even get paid that badly compared to a lot of people.

I think I can help. you see, most people don't have -

"Cerwin Vega Stroker Pro 12 on USB 3000 Tuned to 50Hz ATM, Morel Elate Mids, Altec X-overs and Tweets on DLS A7, O gauge wiring. Blaupunkt Casablanca HU (Does it Stay). 120GB HD 2Ghz Carputer with 8" Touch Screen.
Tinted windows, Custom built exhaust, GSR Induction Kit, Snap off steering wheel, Remapped to 126 BHP 116Ft/Lb.
Next to come, Finish fitting sub and full sound deadening and fast road disks and pads."

:p

I'm sat in my lovely house and could pay off my mortgage tomorrow.
I have money in the bank.
I don't have a job but, for various reasons I have a good stream of income.
I have a new Panda Cross to drive.
However, I suffer from chronic depression and anxiety, have a poor relationship with my wife and my tablets cause erectile dysfunction.
Being 51 is not good. Being young is great. Anyone want to swap!!

I suffer from chronic depression and anxiety,

You dont suffer from anything, buck yourself up and get over it.
When somebody says its all in your mind there is truth in that statement. It can be controlled by the mind as such a thing as anxiety/depression is bought on by yourself affectively. So just as YOU caused it YOU can cure it.
Stop thinking that the answer is in a tranquilliser, because it just isnt. The drug will make your mind think that its ok to let the chemical imbalance rise. Also when you learn how to think properly your peeper will rear its ugly head again.

Depression is real, it isnt all in the mind for some people. Some people suffer from it and it can ruin and control their lives. Like alot of other things. but some people do exaggerate it a bit.

I know it is real but it doent change the fact that it is a state of mind that the sufferer can controll. ;) It is much easier to have an argument with yourself than to fight the forces of mind altering medication (apart from weed that works well). If the Dr's were to actually explain things in a scientific way to people who have it, its affects would diminish considerably.

If only it were that easy:rolleyes:

Thing is depression isnt always caused by whats stored in the brain or an understanding of something, it can be caused by a chemical inbalance.

My fiancee suffered from depression and panic attacks for four years. She knew all about what caused it, the different types of anti depressants available (SSRI's etc) and still, it was beyond her control, she knew it was stupid but couldnt help it.

LOL. once you have depresson you have it for ever as has been said but its how you use it and controll. Like i said Dahnan it is just a chemical inbalance in the brain and is as controllable as any other part of your body, by counter balancing the problem. You do this by over rationionalising the brain.. If i am faced with a situation where i dont really know people then i go through the thought process. 1. They are all in the same situation as me, 2. Nobody else actually thinks as deep as i do into things and if they do they are also wrong, 3 . If they are thinking negatively of me WTF does it matter.
By doing things such as above (I will try to think of a better analogy during the day.) You are over rationalising therefore Flooding the necesary chemicals into the brain manually.
