General Dents

Okay... so i have a dent on my passenger side wing (where the repeater is) the dent man said £50 to get it out... but i cant see him doing anything but removing the wing and pushing it out.. so i was going to give this ago.. has anybody got an idea on how to remove the wing? is it just the two bolts under the bonet, or there more?

Is there any creases in the dent? That £50 will include filler (since you can never get it perfectly flat through panel beating), and possibly repainting if the creases cause the paint to fall off.

What happened was where the jack wouldnt fit under the car because its lowered my cousin asked me to lift the car up a tad, so i put my back to the wing and lifted up the arch... as i did i lost my balance and kind of sat on the wing... so it was only my arse that put it there.. the paint isnt missing or cracked or anything and when the guy came and evaluated it he said because of the size of it and where it is even the smalled push might pop it back out... now i aint paying £50 for him to put his fingers on it and it become new again lol... will taking a picture make it easier?

I can get an idea of the type of dent your arse caused. If it is as you describe it should just pop out with the right tap. However, watching a family friend (and an expert panel beater)sort a dent in my car, there seems to be a very certain skill to knocking it in the right place, to prevent stretching the metal so it doesn't bulge outwards.

you could probaley get a new wing for 30 pounds so you could just do that if you mess it up your self

but the paints wont match then will they... or ill have to get it sprayed which will cost even more lol

depends if you find a wing that was on a car the same colour as your and paint code then it should or if you buy new then just say the paint code of your car

but the paint fades over time.. the car is 2002, so its 8 years old

i doubt it will be really noticble specialy if you get one from a breakers the same age or around the same age

I Agree, ive got two dents on side of my driver side door and im just paying 150 quid to get my whole side sorted and 40 quid to buff the whole car, get someone who knows what they are doing u wont regret it

Just go to your local diy and buy a suction pad dent puller for like £3 put it in middle of the dent and pull it out that simple. All garges told me that my bonnet dent will never come out and if they tryed then all paint would crease and come off but then my mate just gave it a go and it was fine they just after your money, BTW my dent looked about same as yours but mine was a bit bigger.
