Decisions ?? 2 tyres or 1

Had a blow out last nite so guna be going to garage at lunch to get new tyre.

phoned em up to get a qoute and guna be £59 for avon 195/55.

But...

do i just get one gud tryr or get a set. seems silly to get just the one but on the other hand it will cost me £120! B)

Hope no damage was caused during the blow out, I would get two tyres, if you can afford it, unless they are fairly new tyres.

try www.mytyres.co.uk if you don't mind driving around on your spare for a few days, they are cheaper than most tyre places

get two, then they'll both have the same levels of grip. I hated having one balding one because corners become very scary in the wet!

Definitely replace a minimum of two tyres, whether front or back. Not worth the risk otherwise - one grippy and one slick on the front is not a good option!

What was it like having a blow out? Was it premature, or were you pushing your luck on an old tyre?

hmm was quite scary i wasnt going v fast was in multi storey car park. i clipped a kerb comin outa one of the ramps. the bang was real loud and felt the car jault. though that somin had it me in the rear wing or somin.

i only got the one tyre at the min casue they only had one 'avon' one left but next pay day il get another to make up the set,. looks better than driving round with spare lol.

Lol. yer took a nice chunk outa my alloy aswell. only the fiat HLX ones. spose il have to start saving for some 17's
