I fitted a de-cat pipe to my Punto the other week; best £35 I ever spent!(Cheers spiky_monster :D) The pipes are normally £49 on www.fastfiat.com.
It's reckoned to give an extra 5bhp; I'd say that realistically it's more like 2 or 3 but still makes a very noticeable difference to the car's performance. It's a bit noisy as the cat usually acts as the exhaust's primary expansion box before the gases enter the "proper" expansion box, but its not "Gary-boy Nova" loud. It's a mod that's well worth doing if you want a bit more poke from a small motor; just got to remember to bosh the cat back on for MoT!

It was a bit of a whore to fit, as the bolts holding the cat onto the downpipe were rusty as hell and I had to break out the angle grinder to shift them! Other than that its not too bad. Just make sure you've got plenty of ground clearance (I used ramps) and before you take it off, buy a pair of M8 bolts (around 40mm long, with nuts and washers), a new exhaust clamp for the cat-pipe-to-back-section joint (mine was 48mm) and some exhaust sealing paste.
