Ive always had the best success by using norton ghost and copying the dodgy drive to a new hdd. Check the settings in norton and turn off the stuff that stops it when it finds bad clusters etc. Sometimes it takes hours others days depending on how bad the drive is..

Ghost is also included on the Hiren disc suggested

ah i had a link to a site that listed all the films on all the other sites all on one site, r/tube/ p/hub/ hamster/ loads of um, all thumb nailed all listed by type and with option for longest, most watched, longest etc all on 1 site i think it began with a T

You're best off with 10.6 if you can get it. The later one's don't have the illegal commercial software on them :rolleyes:

The best / easiest program I've used for data recovery for your situation is called "GetDataBack for NTFS" which is on Hiren's 10.6 for sure. If you struggle to get it PM me and I'll send you a copy of GetDataBack :).
