Hi folks, I'm looking to put a dab adapter for my radio, in my panda pop, but the standard radio doesn't come with an AUX in port, I really don't want to buy an after market head unit, is there anyway I can still use the original stereo and install a dab adapter to it?.

Thanks

Pull the head unit out - you may be pleasantly surprised at what might be possible??

This is from my '63 plate 4x4 - it had Blue and Me which failed and I was able to plug in USB/Aux socket here.

This post and those that follow it might help too. This is from my 2018 Panda, but this has the slighter later uConnect radio: on the back of the unit is a multi-way connector that allows an AUX in, but it doesn't show on the 'input menu' unless something is actually plugged into it, as there's an 'aux detect' switch too.

Unfortunately my car is not fitted with u connect, and steering controls, and no USB connector. It is the standard stereo. Am/fm. But when I go to menu on the head unit to change from cd it comes up no external connections. Pictures to follow.

There tends to be a connection on the back that disables the Aux In, but this is enabled by plugging in an aux connector. It is very easy to slide the radio out to see the back to check…

Yes, I think the point that @Herts Hillhopper and me are making is that you need to check what input sockets the head unit actually has not what is currently plugged in(??)

When I had my Panda you can get dab adaptors which run of the frequency of the original stereo wirelessly, I had the Nextbase DAB250 which was pretty good but there are others out there as well, I just had the frequency on both the stereo & adapter set at 87.5 as there was never any stations near that frequency & it worked pretty well, or get an aux cable that plugs into the back of the original radio if you can still get them & use your phone for DAB radio, mine I do via Bluetooth in my Seicento as I recently put a retro stereo in it so I get DAB radio that way
