I'm gonna out the radio in the 500 and invest in a DAB radio from Halfords. Just wondering if it would be a straight swap and if Halfords are competent at fitting them? BTW I had a DAB in my previous car and was happy with it in case I'm advised to listen through the internet via my phone. That was fitted by a specialised shop that has now gone and cost to much anyway. Thanks.

Its worth looking at the android head units that are DAB compatible. I have one of these in another car and was looking at either getting an Connects2 facia double DIN kit or an all in one facia/head unit for the 500.
The great thing about the Android units are apps for maps plus Bluetooth, Camera, DAB and hands free etc are changeable and upgradeable unlike the usual OEM head units which are fixed.
Other advise is to get a proper DAB aerial on the roof as opposed to using the existing FM aerial with a converter.
Screen DAB aerials are OK for local reception but not much else.

I have an Xtrons and its brilliant. Much better than the Pioneer AppRadio double DIN head unit. Which model did you get ?
