Technical Crankshaft sensor location

I have a 1.3 diesel Punto multijet been having trouble with hot starts and was advised that possibly be the crankshaft sensor, I purchased a new sensor but been let down by a mechanic and can't get booked in anywherw locally to after Christmas but need car running well over xmas. Going to give it ago myself as believe it's only 1 screw but problem is I can't find it. does anyone know where the crankshaft sensor is located thanks.

Don't know the diesel but the 1.2 8V petrol is in front of the crank pulley. Bottom left of the motor as you face it.

One bolt, 5 minutes, then half an hour of cursing feeding the cable into the timing belt cover

If its like my brothers astra 1.3 CDTI
Which are same engine and possibly box - its on the front of the gearbox casing - inline with the flywheel
