Hi all,
I am about to buy a Bravo HGT (pending AA check) and there are a couple of outstanding things I need to get sorted.

1) The battery in one of the blue keys has died and the current owner reckons I need to take it to a dealership to get reprogrammed for a few quid - how much will this cost?

2) The heated seat on the drivers side is not functioning, is this a common problem and is it easliy fixable?

Apart from these two, it looks like a lovely car and sounded wonderful on the test drive (5 cylinders is really something!) so I'm looking forward to joining the club...

you shouldn't need the key re programmed from fiat you should just have the battery replaced and it should work. i bought my hgt last wednesday and both the heated seats don't work, but iv yet to check the fuses. is a common fault on the have a look at the bravo guide.

Thanks mate, I'm a bit worried now as the seller said the key won't work unless I take it to Fiat...looks like I may have to negotiate on the price a bit more!!
Is there any procedure in the handbook for when the key battery runs out?

i was playing with the button on the key the other day and the light got stuck on. took it apart and put it back together. is as good as new.

if the key needs to be taken to fiat then it can just be becasue the battery has run down..

yeah change the battery. the only time you need to re programme anything its if you wanna get a new key cut, you should have the red key with the car to programme all other keys with the immob code but this can be done now with just the blue, iv found a few places that will do it. but you should knock off £500 if he hasn't got the red key or walk away up to you cause its expensive if the car requires the red key.. if im wrong people let me know but im sure this is right i tried to start my car with the red key the other night and it wouldn't start, but did when i put the blue key in.??? so the red key really should be for reprogrammin!! the battery is only for the remote central locking and you could alway go and buy a cheap alarm with that. not a major problem if you really worried go and buy a battery there about £3.00 most petrol stations have them and put it in there and then and see if it work in theory it should if not then there is a problem??
hope this helped

Damn right im good in bed i can sleep for days!!!! :)
