Technical Correct Gearbox Oil?

Hi all,

I’ve ordered some gearbox oil, assuming it would be suitable for a gearbox oil change as it was the correct grade (75w80) and was GL4 specification. I now realise that perhaps going OEM for the oil would have been a better choice. The car is a 2010 Punto Evo, with the 1.4 8v engine.

Pretty much any correct weight and and spec oil will do for the gearbox it's only needed to prevent wear on the gears
