General Cool “500” up for auction

This is a pretty unique car, if what the auction says it’s 1 of >50 built. It doesn’t have the “cute” factor that the 500 does, but it looks pretty cool to me. If only I had a bigger garage!

Definitely cool! I can see influences from lots of other designs of the era there.

It’s interesting how completely different in tone it is to the 500, especially inside despite relatively modest changes and lots of shared components. The black trim and light headlining looking so much more late 60s / 70s.

Reminds me of the MK2 Fiat 850 Coupe, the version with the KAM rear-end. I have a colleague who has 2 Moretti 850 coupe's--as well as more than a few more cars. mostly Fiat based. They live alongside his Sherman tank (complete with spare engine!)

I agree, pretty interesting, but it's not the icon of industrial design that the 500 is. The proportions look....off?
