Hi. New to me 2012 fiat 500c owner. The convertible top won't go all the way down. This may seem like a silly question, but is it suppose to? And if it is, how do I fix the problem? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi, and welcome;

The roof should fold down over the boot lid on the second press of the opening button.

Firstly make sure the boot is fully shut, the roof will not completely retract if it isn't.

Secondly run the roof initialization;
Press and hold the 'Open' button until the roof is fully open,
Continue to press the button for another two seconds then release.

Press and hold the 'Close' button until the roof is fully closed and continue to hold the button down for another two seconds then release.

The roof should then go through a full cycle on its own, stopping about 250mm short of fully closed.

After this, if all is well, it should respond to a single press of the 'Open' button by opening to the 'spoiler' position (above the rear window). Another single press should see it fold down to the boot lid. A single press of the 'Close' button should see it return to the spoiler position and a further press close it to 250mm short of fully closed - after which you'll need to hold the Close button to shut it fully.

Thanks! Tried that and it worked.

Very pleased to hear it Pamala. Keep a note of the procedure as you'll need it again, such as after your battery's disconnected or similar.
